This product started as Project Memento, Autodesk's attempt to built a photogrammetry tool from the ground up.

Autodesk has opened up its powerful Memento software for handling digital data to the public, so that anyone can create 3D models for 3D printing. Autodesk offers a number of examples of how the software has already been used in unexpected ways. The software is currently available for PC, with a Mac version planned soon. The company’s photogrammetry service will become part of ReCap Pro under the name ReCap Photo. This change impacts both the Free & Edu versions of the application and the Pro subscription. I have reviewed this software separately. The photogrammetry functionality will be moved into Autodesk ReCap Pro as a feature called ReCap Photo. Update January 2018 Autodesk ReCap 360, including the web-based interface, has been discontinued on December 1, 2017.
